Hip Heisting

To practice moving the hips up and away from the top wrestler.
The following equipment is needed to perform this drill.

Yoga Mat
This drill will improves your Balance/Stability. You need a partner to perform this drill.

Hip Heist movement needs to be as quick as possible, and the you must have yours back straight, head up, and arms bent at your sides at the end of this maneuver.

To perform this drill you begins sitting on the mat with yours legs bent, knees up, and arms tight to your sides with your hands on the mat. On the whistle, each wrestler slides one leg under the other, pushes off your hands, and moves to a position in which your weight is on the knees. The hands must come off the mat, and the back must be straight up and down.
