Standing on the weak leg is mainly designed to help you strengthen various muscles in the body. It gives your legs more power and flexibility. Standing on the weak leg helps in reducing any limps or changes in your walking stride due to the weaker state of your foot that resulted from an injury or a medical condition. A multitude of injuries and occurrences can affect our balance and leave us less steady on our feet.

Standing on one leg requires the use of many of your body's systems. Balancing on one leg involves leg strength, static balance, and integration of vision, inner ear, and other receptors in your muscles and joints. It is also being used as an exercise to improve balance and prevent falls.
