5 Kilometer Run (All Sports)

Time taken to complete 5 kilometers on a track or hard surface.

The 5 KM run test is used to test the aerobic endurance of the athlete. The stamina of the athlete is also put to test in this process. This test is prefrred to be conducted on a 2.5 KM onward and return course.

The athletes stand behind the start line on a 2.5 KM course.

The athletes start to run on the command "go". The timer is started as the athlete start running.

The athletes complete the test touching the finish line and the time taken is calculated in minutes and seconds.
