1 Mile Run (All Sports)

Time taken to complete 1 mile run on a track or hard surface.

The 1 mile run test is conducted to assess the aerobic fitness of the athlete. It also helps in checking with the endurance of the athlete's legs.

The athlete stands behind the starting line on a 400m track.

On the command "go", the athlete starts the run. Th assistant starts the stop clock.

The athlete complete's the run as he touches the finish line at 1 mile. The time taken is calculated.
